One On AM 50 Tablet belongs to the group of antihypertensive agents used to treat high blood pressure/hypertension and angina pectoris. High blood pressure is a condition in which the blood exerts increased pressure on the walls of blood vessels. Angina is basically a pain in the heart and chest. 

One On AM 50 Tablet contains Metoprolol succinate and Amlodipine. Metoprolol succinate works by slowing down the heart rate, thereby making it more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Amlodipine relaxes the blood vessels, thereby improving blood flow. Together, One On AM 50 Tablet helps treat high blood pressure.

Take One On AM 50 Tablet as prescribed. In some cases, One On AM 50 Tablet may cause certain common side effects such as tiredness, dizziness, headache, ankle swelling and slow heart rate. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen.

It is advisable to inform the doctor if you are allergic to any of its components. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or breastfeeding. Keep your doctor informed in case you are due to undergo any surgery or dental procedure. Avoid consuming alcohol with One On AM 50 Tablet as there may be an interaction. One On AM 50 Tablet  may cause dizziness, therefore, drive only if you are alert.

One On AM 50 Tablet is a combination antihypertensive medication containing Metoprolol succinate and Amlodipine. It is used primarily to treat hypertension and to relax the blood vessels for seamless flow of blood. Metoprolol succinate is a beta-blocker that eases the symptoms of hypertension by blocking catecholamines that lead to increased pressure and heart rate. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that decreases blood pressure by preventing the influx of calcium ions into cells and by enlarging and relaxing arteries. In addition, One On AM 50 Tablet also reduces the oxygen demands of the heart, relaxing the heart and blood vessels and requiring the heart to do less work.

One On AM 50 Tablet should not be used in case of any known allergy to either of the components. One On AM 50 Tablet should be used with caution in case of high risk or previous history of any arterial or thrombotic disorders, shock, cardiovascular health disorders, diabetes, heart failure, or any disease-causing psoriasis. Please inform your doctor in case of any history of an overactive thyroid, asthma, phaeochromocytoma (high BP due to a tumour in the adrenal glands), myasthenia gravis (neuromuscular disorder), COPD, heart block, liver disease or renal disease. Consult your doctor before using One On AM 50 Tablet during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Keep your doctor informed in case you are waiting to undergo any surgery or dental procedure. One On AM 50 Tablet may interact with alcohol, please consult your doctor before use. One On AM 50 Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive or operate heavy machinery only if you are alert. 

Drug-Drug Interactions: One On AM 50 Tablet may interact with monoamine oxidase inhibitors, antiarrhythmic agents (quinidine, propafenone), anti-depressant (fluoxetine, paroxetine), anti-hypertensive (diltiazem, clonidine, verapamil), antibiotic (erythromycin), anti-fungal (ketoconazole, itraconazole), anti-viral (ritonavir), cardiac glycoside (digitalis), 

Drug-Food Interactions: One On AM 50 Tablet can interact with grapefruit juice, fish oil and castor oil.

Drug-Disease Interactions: One On AM 50 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with a known hypersensitivity disorder, shock, COPD, diabetes mellitus, heart failure, liver cirrhosis, myasthenia gravis, phaeochromocytoma, chronic diarrhoea, thromboembolic disorder, cardiovascular disorder and/or dry eyes.

• Limit the intake of salt in your diet.
• Cut back on foods that are high in fat and cholesterol.
• Eat more fruits, vegetables and whole-grain foods.
• Avoid taking One On AM 50 Tablet with grapefruit juice as there may be an interaction.
• Avoid tobacco use. Inform your doctor in case of marijuana use.
• Dress warmly, as One On AM 50 Tablet may cause cold extremities.

• In case you miss a dose of One On AM 50 Tablet , take it as soon as possible. However, if it is too close to the next dose, revert to the original schedule. Do not ever take a double dose.
• If you accidentally take an extra dose of One On AM 50 Tablet , please inform your doctor immediately. Some of the common symptoms of an overdose can be low blood pressure, slow pulse rate, shortness of breath, low blood sugar, dizziness, feeling sick and blue discolouration of the skin.
• Do not discontinue taking One On AM 50 Tablet abruptly or without the advice of the physician.
• Please know that your doctor may order blood tests to check your tolerance and need of One On AM 50 Tablet .
• One On AM 50 Tablet should be used with caution in case of those over 80 or under 40 years of age.
