Choline Salicylate+benzalkonium Chloride

About

Choline Salicylate+benzalkonium Chloride is an analgesic medication primarily used to treat mouth ulcers, denture irritation, inflammatory lesions of the mouth, glossitis (swollen and inflamed tongue), and stomatitis (inflamed and sore mouth). Mouth ulcers are small wounds in the mouth that may be present on the tongue, on the insides of the cheeks, or on the roof of the mouth. Denture irritation or soreness due to braces is inflammation and pain caused due to the use of dental braces.

Choline Salicylate+benzalkonium Chloride combines two medicines: Choline Salicylate (analgesic) and Benzalkonium Chloride (antiseptic). Choline Salicylate works by blocking the effect of an enzyme called cyclo-oxygenase (COX), which produces prostaglandins (mediators of pain and inflammation) responsible for the sense of pain and inflammation. Benzalkonium Chloride has antiseptic, disinfectant and antimicrobial properties.

Depending on your medical condition, you are advised to use Choline Salicylate+benzalkonium Chloride for as long as your doctor has prescribed it.
