Ofloxacin+clotrimazole is a combination of two drugs, namely: Ofloxacin (antibiotic) and Clotrimazole (antifungal). Ofloxacin belongs to the class of antibiotics that works by interfering with a bacterial enzyme involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thereby, kills bacteria and clears the infection. Clotrimazole belongs to the class of antifungals that works by damaging the fungal cell membranes and kills fungi.
Use Ofloxacin+clotrimazole as prescribed by your doctor. Ofloxacin+clotrimazole is only for use in ears. You are advised to use Ofloxacin+clotrimazole for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. Finally, replace the cap tightly after use. After applying Ofloxacin+clotrimazole, you are advised to keep head tilted for about 5 minutes to enter into the lower ear canal.
