VALETHAMATE BROMIDE contains ‘valethamate bromide’, which belongs to the class of ‘spasmolytics or antispasmodic agents. It is an anticholinergic and works by blocking the effect of acetylcholine (constricts muscle). VALETHAMATE BROMIDE dilates the smooth muscles present in the intestine and cervix, thus resulting in a reduction of spasms.
