MICONAZOLE+ORNIDAZOLE belongs to the class of medicines called antifungals. It is used for the treatment of vaginal infections in both male and female populations. In male patients, it is used in treating Balanitis and Trichomonial infections. On the other hand, in female patients, this medicine helps in treating vaginal candidiasis and Bacterial vaginosis. Balanitis is a condition causing inflammation and pain at the foreskin and head of the penis. Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by a parasite called Trichomonas vaginalis. Vaginal candidiasis is caused by the fungus Candida albicans, a vaginal yeast infection. Bacterial vaginosis is caused by the change in the normal balance of vaginal bacteria.
