Mupirocin+bromelain is used to treat bacterial infections of the skin. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. Mupirocin+bromelain does not work against infections caused by viruses and fungi.
Mupirocin+bromelain contains Mupirocin and Bromelain. Mupirocin works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins that are necessary for bacteria to grow and multiply, thereby preventing the growth of bacteria. Bromelain works by removing damaged or dead skin cells and promotes healing.
In some cases, you may experience rash, dry skin, swelling, redness or itching at the site of application. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
Do not cover the treated area with dressings or bandages unless advised by your doctor.
