Hyoscine Butylbromide belongs to a group of medicines called anti-spasmodic agents used to relieve abdominal and irritable bowel syndrome pain, cramps, and discomfort. It may also be used for diagnostic and therapeutic medical procedures where spasms might be a problem, such as gastroduodenal endoscopy, and to produce smooth muscle relaxation prior to radiological procedures like pyelography.

Hyoscine Butylbromide contains ‘Hyoscine butylbromide’ that stops muscle contractions by relaxing the muscles in the stomach, intestine, and bladder. Thereby providing relief from cramps, discomfort, and pain.

Take Hyoscine Butylbromide as prescribed. In some cases, Hyoscine Butylbromide may cause side-effects such as dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, abnormal/reduced sweating, and fast heart rate. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.

Directions for Use

Tablet/Capsule: Swallow it as a whole with water; do not chew or break the tablet/capsule. Syrup/Suspension/Oral drops: Take the prescribed dose by mouth using the measuring cup/dosing syringe/dropper. Shake the pack well before use.

Inform your doctor if you have severe constipation, blood in stools, loss of appetite, difficulty passing urine, fever, fast heart rate, severe sweating problem, or if you are 40years or above.
